The Maine Nordiques took on the New Hampshire Mountain Kings looking to stop their 3 game slide and try and reclaim first place

Before the weekend of action the Mountain Kings presented the Nordiques and Lewiston community a check for $3500

Friday:

The Mountain Kings thought they got out to a hot start on a breakaway goal but after replay review, it was overturned and the game remained tied. The Nordiques would capitalize on the opportunity however as Kellen Murphy found the back of the net to break open the scoring officially. The Nordiques would then tack on back to back goals just 21 seconds apart as Nils Forselius would find the back of the net followed by JP steele who fired home a shot off of a mountain king to make it 3-0 Nordiques after the first period. The Nordiques would continue their offensive showing in the second as former NHL draft pick Liam Gilmartin fired home his fifth of the season to make it 4-0. The Nordiques would then have another 2 goal outburst as Kellen Murphy potted his second of the game and Arseni Vorobyov added another for a 6-0 Nordiques win after no one found the back of the net in the third. Tommy Heaney in net stopped all 30 Mountain Kings Shots He faced in route to the shutout

Saturday:

The Mountain Kings were looking to snap their nine game losing streak against the Nordiques while the Nordiques looked for the weekend sweep. A power play midway through the first had the Mountain Kings on top as former Nordique Cam Stehle found the back of the net for his first of the weekend. The Second period got off to a hot start when Kellen Murphy wasted little time tying the game up at one with his third goal of the weekend 5:26 into the frame. The Third period got off to a back and forth affair before the Nordiques gained control of the game late as a Luke Chappelle shot hit off back boards, went in front to Liam Gilmartin and eventually found Nils Forselius for his second of the weekend to take the lead with less than seven minutes left to play. With three minutes to go, Seth Murch sprang a pass ahead from his own zone to Shane Kozlina at the blue line who gave it to Cole Hipkin for a snipe to seal the deal 3-1.

With the sweep the Nordiques hold a one point lead for first and in the NAHL as well

They will head to New Jersey on Thursday for a matchup with the New Jersey Titans on Friday and Saturday
