NAHL HEAD COACH/ GM

NICK SKERLICK

   

The Maine Nordiques welcome aboard Nick Skerlick to the NAHL squad as he will be taking over the role of head coaching duties for the team. Nick has been with the organization since its inception and was the director of the Nordiques academy along with being a head coach for the U18 team and directing recruitment for the organization. Nick also brings along a vast experience of hockey knowledge and play. Nick sports not only a great coaching record but a tremendous player record as well, playing in multiple junior hockey teams, USHL, NCAA and professionally. Nick looks forward to bringing his winning culture and experience to the NAHL squad with the goal of not only developing players to the next level of hockey but bringing a Robertson Cup Championship to the city of Lewiston Maine.

NAHL ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH

RYAN SHELLEY

The Maine Nordiques have named Ryan Shelley associate head coach. Shelley brings not only a great hockey background when it comes to overall team performance, but when it comes to goaltending as well. Shelley brings in a diverse background consisting of experience in the NCAA, NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL. Shelley joined the organization in the 2019-2020 season in the NA3HL and then served as an assistant coach for the U18 team and was an analyst on hockey TV during intermissions and was the teams video coach. Ryan was also a backup goaltender to NHL’s Jimmie Howard and Ben Bishop as Umaine. He also suited up for the Framingham state Ram’s for 7 games in the 2008-2009 season. Ryan Shelly’s experience with hockey, college, and goaltending development will play a key factor in leading the organization to the Robertson Cup Championship.

NAHL ASSISTANT COACH

KYLE WARREN

The Maine Nordiques would like to welcome back Kyle Warren as an assistant coach for the NAHL team. Kyle Warren has been with the Organization since its inception and has helped the organization in the U18, U16 and NAHL squads. Kyle played in the NCAA and is a forward who will help the team bring an elite scoring punch. Kyle brings a great player perspective behind the bench and will help members of the NAHL team through the college process and will have a major hand in the team’s success this season.

NAHL SKILLS COACH

STAN MOORE

Stan Moore brings in a diverse college hockey background and over 40 years of coaching experience. Some of Stan Moore’s head coaching roles include Providence College, Colgate University, Union College, Colby College and Bowdoin College. Stan’s background will be able to give first hand advice to players on how to become collegiate athletes and what steps they need to take in order to do so. Stan’s commitment to defense and skill development make him a major cog in the machine of the Nordiques coaching staff this season.
