The Maine Nordiques took on the Johnstown Tomahawks to continue their homestead at The Colisee

Friday:

The Nordiques got out to a hot start with Shane Kozlina finding the back of the net just 2:51 in on a great move using his speed to break free. The Tomahawks would get it back however Ryan Panico who was playing against his former team in the Johnstown Tomahawks, would get it right back and with it, momentum to help carry his team to a power play which Charles Tardif would score his 13th of the season on. Kellen Murphy would add another and the Nordiques were up 4-1 after the first.

The Nordiques took their foot off the gas however in the second and allowed an early goal to the Tomahawks. That goal gave the Tomahawks momentum and they would get onto back to back power plays on some undisciplined Nordiques play and they would tie the game up at 4.

The third period started with back and forth play as Tommy Heaney who took over for Adam Moeller to start held the Tomahawks at bay. There was no scoring until Evan Orloff fired home a drop pass from Matt Lewis to the low glove side and gave his team the lead late. With their net empty Jake Bernadet would find the empty net and Laurent Trepanier would do the same as the Nordiques would take a 7-4 win
