Nordiques complete the 3 game weekend sweep

The Maine Nordiques took on the Danbury Hat Tricks for a 2 game matchup on Friday and Saturday followed by a Wednesday valentines day affair with the New Hampshire Mountain Kings.

Friday:

The Nordiques came out looking to snap their 4 game slide and capture the energy of the crowd in their return to the Colisee for the first time in 55 days. The Period got off to a great start from the Nordiques as they were able to strike first as Zion Green found the back of the net in his return to the Nordiques to make it 1-0 after one.

Tomek Haula fresh off his performance at the NAHL’s top prospects tournament would add one of his own midway into the middle period to make it 2-0 Nordiques. The Nordiques lead was quickly cut in half however as the Hat Tricks would get on the board four minutes later.

The third period would start with an early hat tricks goal and the game would be tied up at 2. The Nordiques were able to put 32 shots onto the hat tricks net minder in regulation and just couldn’t find the shot that would give them the lead.

Overtime was needed and in the overtime frame, David Helledy would get tripped up to cause his team to go to a power play, in the extra period it was the captain Charles Tardif wasting no time and the Nordiques would skate away with a 3-2 overtime win.
