The Maine Nordiques are off to a hot start this season, recording a point in all 4 games they have played so far and have recorded a point in every game they have played in and have also outshot their opponents in every game as well.
The Nordiques kicked off their season with an overtime thriller on the road against their foes in the Maryland Black Bears who ended the Nordiques season last year in 5 games. The Nordiques would be unable to end the game in grand fashion in OT and the Black Bears would take a 3-2 OTW. The Nordiques would respond however and Matt Dellarusso would start his 2nd game of the weekend and had the hot hand denying all 46 shots he saw for a 4-0 Shutout victory.
The Maine Nordiques would then head home to open things up at The Colisee in Lewiston against the NJ Titans. In front of a combined 1,758 member crowd between Friday and Saturday, the Nordiques set their fans home happy surviving a battle with the Titans on Friday capitalizing on their power play chances as Arhip Sidarovich would have the game winner on the PP against his former team for the win 3-2. On Saturday, Nordique Nation saw the game go to a shootout and fan Favorite Carter Richardson made his return to the Nordiques crease stopping all 3 titans shooters in the shootout after Tomek Haula Scored in the bottom of the first round to give the Nordiques the win
The Nordiques head to Blaine Minnesota to compete in the annual NAHL showcase to face the Minnesota Mallards, the St. Cloud Norsemen and the defending Robertson cup Champion Lone Star Brahmas. the action can all be seen live and in HD on NAtv
