The Maine Nordiques Development Program (MNDP), formerly the ISS Kings, are an independent USA Hockey registered team of U18 players.

About MNDP Nordiques

The Maine Nordiques Development Program (MNDP), formerly the ISS Kings, are an independant USA Hockey registered team of U18 players who have been awarded an athletic scholarship.

Currently playing in New Jersey, the team will be transitioning to Maine in the 2020-2021 season. The clubs primary focus is on a thoughtful player-development model that commits time and resources to each individual and as a team to provide Junior level training experience, academic standards of excellence, a healthy, competitive environment that challenges each Player’s maximum potential.

  • Development of U18 Aged Elite Hockey Players with great character to prepare them for their transition to the NAHL & other Future Opportunities.
  • Provide a healthy and competitive environment meant to challenge each Player to maximizing their potential.
  • Allow for time to maintain an academic standard of excellence and a high standing within the community
  • Commit Time and Resources to each individual and the team as a whole to provide Junior Level Training experience
  • Execute the process of transitioning the MNDP to Lewiston, Maine
  • Expose each player and prepare them to excel in the interview process with coaches and advisors
  • Continue to learn how to present oneself and showcase themselves both on and off the ice
  • Develop the players in terms of Skill, Structure and Conceptual Understanding, Strength and Conditioning, and overall level of play
  • Continue to cultivate their passion for the game and their drive to compete with maximum effort on a consistent basis

The Beast Tournament Series

The BEAST Tournament Series features the best teams and its goal is to provide the best exposure and competition for midget hockey on the east coast.

The five full time members have over the past five seasons combined for 5 USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championship game appearances including three USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championships (U18 Neponset Valley River Rats in 2013, U18 Mid Fairfield in 2017, U15 Yale Youth Hockey in 2017) and two runners up trophies at USA Hockey Tier 1 Nationals (U18 North Jersey Avalanche in 2015, U14 Boston Jr Eagles in 2016)
Last season’s teams accounted for 70 Division 1 commits and six players being selected for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program
