Nords End 2022 with Weekend Sweep

The Nordiques were trying to sweep the last weekend of 2022 with a win against the Hat Tricks.

The first period started with a neutral zone play that lead to a Danbury goal to make it 1-0 just five minutes in and 1-0 after the first.

The second period started with a quick Nords response as Oliver Genest found the back of the net to start the frame. Kael Depape was named first star of the game made some key saves and the Nords scored back to back goals to end the frame to make it 3-1 Nords as they got goals from five different goal scorers once again. Coupe scored his second of the weekend and Henrik Hallberg put one home on a breakaway.

The Nordiques controlled play in the third period after being unable to score on an early power play. Depape kept making saves and the Nordiques got a goal from Brendan Gibbons for his second of the weekend and to extend his point streak to 13 games. The Nords got another power play to end the period and the year and Laurent Trepanier found the back of the net to give the Nords the 5-1 victory.

The Nords head to Piney Orchard to play the Black Bears Friday and Saturday to start 2023.
