Game #35
The Nordiques were playing in a Monday afternoon matchup against the Northeast Generals on the road before a home series with the Philadelphia Rebels.
The first period started with the Nords going to the penalty kill. They would surrender a power play goal less than two minutes into the game. The Nords went back to the penalty kill and found themselves down 2-0. The Nords got a power play of their own but couldn’t respond. They would once again be down a man and surrender two more power-play goals. The Nordiques quickly found themselves down 4-0 but before the period ended Oliver Genest found the back of the net. 4-1 Generals after the first.
The second period saw the Nordiques go on three power plays however, they couldn’t find the back of the net. It was a better period for the team recording seventeen shots but nothing to show for it in terms of a goal. The Nordiques needed to come up big in the third.
The third period had back-and-forth action with the Nords looking to bury one but couldn’t find the twine. The Generals take it 4-1.
The Nords return home this weekend for two with the Rebels looking to advance their home win streak to six games.
