Monday, January 4, 2021 — The Maine Nordiques announce a new Assistant Coach Daniel Bogdan joining their NAHL team’s coaching staff.
Mr. Daniel Bogdan is an excellent mid-season addition and will provide support throughout the organization including player development and recruitment, and more.
Dan spent the past two years as an Associate Head Coach for the Kenai River Brown Bears in the North American Hockey League. During that time, the team set records for the longest win streak, most home wins, most single season college commitments as well as the ‘19-‘20 team being on pace to set the franchise record for season win total before COVID-19 cancelled the remainder of the season. Prior to his time with the Kenai River Brown Bears, Coach Bogdan was the Assistant Coach for Northfield Mount Hermon. While there, the program earned the #1 seed large school tournament. Before his coaching career, Mr. Bogdan played as a forward at Framingham State while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
“I have had the pleasure of knowing Dan going back many years.” Maine Nordique’s Head Coach, Nolan Howe, went onto say “He is someone who I respect and trust tremendously, not only as a great hockey-mind and coach but as a person as well. His experience and track record of excellence will be an enormous boost to our organization. Coach Bogdan’s ability to teach the game and develop players, along with his extensive network and positive reputation, within our league and the hockey world, is an outstanding addition. Our staff, consisting of Associate Head Coach Matt Pinchevsky and General Manager Eric Soltys and myself, and now with Coach Dan as well, is the foundation that we know will continue to provide our players with the very best support in their development and advancement.”
Dan Bogdan commented on his excitement of joining the coaching staff, “I am really excited to join the Maine Nordiques and help contribute towards the success of The Maine Nordiques Organization.”
Welcome to the Nordique Nation Coach Bogdan!
